As one of the most spoken about weddings of last year, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s nuptials were a grand affair. Taking place in the picturesque Lake Como, in Italy, on November 14 and 15, 2018, fans were anxiously awaiting the first pictures of the newlyweds. And in spite of getting exclusive images of the couple from the venue, everyone had to wait till the couple themselves shared pictures from the ceremony. And now, it has been revealed that Deepika and Ranveer ensured that there were no leaks from the wedding. It was only on November 15, after all the rituals were completed that the first images were shared. The secrecy around the pictures was thanks to the special arrangements that had been made to prevent any leaks.

In a recent interview, Deepika said that while privacy was important, she and Ranveer also wanted all the guests to be present in the moment and enjoy the ceremony without being distracted about getting the perfect shot. She said that such special moments should be in one’s mind and heart since they wouldn’t come back and added that her guests appreciated the cellphone ban and understood the couple’s point of view. Deepika said the absence of cellphones also ensured guests enjoyed themselves thoroughly, were emotionally present and could have long conversations.
